It helped that Walters decided this week was the one to have his best game for us so far, by a long way too.
Looked more like the player i was expecting us to sign.
Good win, exactly what we needed to hopefully right the ship. I do agree with the poster who said we should rest a few, particularly in the Forwards. I would like to rest Nsemba but unfortunately i am not sure how possible that is now with Farrell injured. Thompson for sure should be getting a well earned rest. I would also rest a Winger and give Douglas a run out, whichever we feel would benefit from it more.
A theory seems to be sweeping social media and Red Vee that Wigan are constantly getting Wigan refs and don’t lose games when they’re in charge and only lose them when non Wigan refs take our games. You couldn’t make it all up! Yesterday was the 5th penalty count we’ve won in 23 games. We’ve been peppered all season, both home and away.

Doesnt help when half the refs seem to be from Wigan

No, not at all. Jack Smith getting the heat from last night but that same ref did us at Wire away something like 14-2 on the penalty count. Any debate of bias is just wrong either way. I think we’ve been harshly treated at times this season but our own discipline needs to be better and it has made us a target.

Thought the ref yesteray was just plain pedantic - keen to blow for anything and everything especially if either team tried to play rugby. Seemed determined to ruin the game.

Agree, he was woeful. It wasn't very intense for a derby game anyway but he seemed pretty determined to ref any intensity out of the game. Made it a chore to watch
The only reason they look up to you is because they chose to kneel.
