Oh i am under no illusion that we could very easily get beat by a very good Hull KR side but in the context of the Saints fans telling everyone how much better they are than everyone else and they need to play below par to be beaten etc etc etc, for the next 24 hours at least) i will revel in it. Especially as i work in Merseyside and all the goading from the week will be repaid in the morning at work to my Saints colleagues (if they show their faces)

Interesting that. I am in a rugby whatsapp group and we were all saying the same. I wanted leigh to win just for the sake of it and Redvee will be a popcorn occasion tonight but they are done Saints. Paasi looks like he his finished for the season, Walmsley's slow decline came home to roost today and their backline is very average, as is the (World class) Welsby who is the most overrated commentary player since Trueman.

Have to disagree on Welsby who I think has turned into Saints' main man and shows quality on most touches. But their outside backs lack pace and threat aside from Hurrell close to the line, their forwards don't quite have the same power as they once did and their defensive intensity has also dropped.off.

I do have to question the tackling technique of the bloke who did Paasi. I know it’s not technically a cannonball but it’s dodgy imo. He did it a few times, forceful contact direct at the knee, needs to be looked at.

Any criticism of Kendall is completely unwarranted IMO. Thought he had a great game today and got most if not all of the major decisions spot on. Though it makes a big difference when you have a game with very few loose carry/interference decisions to make.

Leigh deserved that,as pointed out St Helens are on the slide now with their ageing players and a average backline,they are not as strong as they were.

The forwards are not as good as they think Knowles etc.

Wigan will overtake them poss Leigh now that would be sweet.

All we have got is that they are the greatest team and can go on for the next 10 years what with their academy etc No it is coming to a end now !

I thought the Hurrell celebrations for his 'try' were funny. You can see the logic - act as though you're certain you've scored and if the ref sends it up as a try it's given if there are no angles to see the ball. Problem is it was all too obvious what he was doing and the ref probably gave no try as a result.

It certainly, for me, makes me question what KR is doing at Wigan. From the championship to 2nd in the league - with some excellent signings thrown in for good measure, they've smashed it in a very short time. We however seem to continue to plateau, with next season's signings always being talked about as being the missing pieces. Imagine if we'd have signed

Asiata instead of Mago etc.

First it was Mago and Ellis (props), then it was Wardle and King (centres) and now everyone’s excited about a couple of project forwards, a half decent hooker and a utility back whose had one decent season.



Difficult to build any momentum at Wigan though with our ridiculous turnover of players and loyalty shown to people not good enough.

Dizzying heights & certainly a roll of honour worthy for such a great club like Wigan.

When was anyone's last win, apart from Saints? As it happens we were the last ones to win it prior to them starting their run. Only us and Saints have won it in the last 5 years.

5 years ago as pointed out, before the greatest team of all time went on the their winning streak during and the latter of the Covid era.

Have to say read a few threads elsewhere about him getting a long ban but after watching it again a couple of times it seems unfortunate rather than intentional - would be a massive loss for us if anything comes of it

So do you actually think a single CC win in 5 years is acceptable for a club like ours? The last half a decade has hardly been a golden period for the club has it.



Not sure why so many fans get so bum hurt over people pointing out obvious things?
