It sounds good to me as long as they keep driving standards and don’t allow clubs to rest on their laurels. The recommendations to go down to a starting point of 22 fixtures a season and drive international rugby league sounds good to me. Less is more! Stop flogging the players and clubs get their best players on the park more often.
I think one of the biggest issues is clubs bouncing up & down from the lower leagues. I wasn't a fan of it at the time, but protecting Catalans from relegation for a few years has given them a damn good foundation. How about a team is protected from relegation for just one year to give them a hand to stabilise? As has been said earlier in this thread, all the IOUs handed out when licencing was tried last time made it untenable. If there's anything but an independent panel adjudicating on who's in what category, it'll fail again (there are still some in the game who will argue against, if not veto this). I can see why Bradford, Fev & York are ok with the principle, but i can't see Workington or Whitehaven ever having enough wedge to rise to the top (without a merger - with Barrow - to form a single Cumbrian side). IMG seem to be thinking out of the box which has to be applauded, but please, enough with the London idea. The rah-rahs in Twickers have too much clout in the area & with the broadcasters to even bother trying.

Stupid idea. Would rather all lower league clubs pulled out of one bag, all SL clubs in another bag and made to play away. The sport could have even promoted it as 'on the road cup tie'.
