It's nice to know people still think so highly of me and think I am capable of turning Wigan around.
Never lose faith. The lads will come up with whatever it takes. They'll need the support of your dedicated fans more than ever right now. So hang on in there and never loses faith.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
'Never lose faith' is the most important part of this, IMO.
We've been through worse times than this and have alway re-emerged with our heads held high.
At the end of the day, all we fans can really do is vote with our feet, yet our greatest strength of recent years is that we've chosen not to.
It really pisses our rivals off that support for RL in Wigan is challenged not only by other RL teams who are vastly more effective (including Saints, who, sad though I am to admit it, have truly taken possesson of our mantle as 'the greatest power in the land'), but also Premiership football, which is near enough the greatest show on Earth, and yet still we do better than nearly all other RL clubs in terms of support.
As Ray French - a bought and paid-for St Helenser - once said: "Wiganers love their rugby league".
It's too easy to walk away. Standing by the team during the dark times is what's marked us out in the past. Let's not lose the faith now.

If I had tried to do some sort of 'I have a dream' speach in this time of need, that is how I would of done it, well said.

When he was a player he was an ignorant pillock, and he refused to sign autographs for the kids.
I won't go near his crim record while he was at Bratfurt.
And I guess you've led a blameless life.
Sorry, but this is a daft post. Hanley was one of the greatest players ever to wear a Wigan shirt, and an inspiration to the whole club. The indiscretions of his youth, for which he paid the full price, don't detract in any way from the fact that he's now offering words of encouragement to his former fans.
At present, anyone who's 'on our side' is to be thanked.
