Im a bit puzzled as to why we really want to keep Goulding so badly
I have been a fan of Goulding and wanted him to get his chance. But from what Iv seen of him hes not shown alot of flair or class that makes him stand out above the rest.
What Im thinking is, why would it be worth keeping him when it is likely we will be keeping Carmont for another year atleast, Gleeson would obviously be the other Centre for 2/3 years. Then you have to think we have Pryce (yet to be confirmed but been highlighted as part of a long term plan), we then also have Ian Thornley who is rated well at the club.
On this basis, we would likely still have Gleeson, Pryce and by that time Thornley available for the 1st team. Goulding until then wont really get a chance and by that point (if Thornley lives up to expectations) he will still be stuck below the top spot in the pecking order and will be coming up to being 23/24.
I cant help thinking that he is another case like with Briscoe where there are better players at the time and he wants his chance to secure a 1st team place.
I would like to keep him as I still do believe he can do something, but IF (still a big if) we get Gleeson I think that signs the end for Goulding at Wigan.. Sad but I cant see many alternatives myself.
And remember, Gleeson announced tomorrow.

Looks like Lockyer staying at Brisbane as said on footy show. Singing for 2010 at least.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
Take your substantiated rumours elsewhere Rob!!!!!
Ok I'll stick to bollarks, Ian Lenegan has put all his money on a roulette machine and has won trillions and invested into cloning, he has taken samples from Hamson, Robinson, Tuigamala, Renouf, Miles, Boston, McTigue, Bolton, Boston, Ashton, Farrell, Kenny, Edwards, Gregory, Platt, Skerrett, Betts, Hanley, Offiah, Radlinski, Connolly, Lydon and Gael Tallec because he ran out of money to fly to NZ to get Sam Panapas sample. He is cloning the players and will be more than ready to play against Barrow, also he is making 3 of each player so we won't have injury problems.
