Cannot make the game in London this week, prior booking for a mates 40th in Preston sat night, anybody know of any pubs in or close to the city centre that will be showing the game?
one thing you can't rely on is a pub in preston showing rugby league, it's a football town. academy may have it on but it depends if any soccer clashes with it, plus, the academy is a bit chavvy. the lamb and packet are usually pretty good though or further afield the last orders in ashton are always open to requests to change the channel (the old landlord was a stains 'fan' so always had the rugby on)

The Exchange on Fox Street in the city centre always used to show the RL, even when there was football on (they put them on different screens) but I think it has change maangement recently so not sure if that is still the case. Worth a look if you are in the centre.

Hopefully with only Oxford vs Torquay being shown around that time I should be OK!

the ship inn near the uni, shows rugby league if you ask them behind the bar they'll put it on for you. They had world cup games and NRL as well so they'll often show superleague. During half time you can play guitar hero in there now as well!
Stevo on a Craig Smith intersept, "that was like throwing tomato seeds out of a moving train window and coming back a year later and tomatoes have grown!"
Eddies reaction, "I don't know what he's been taking but i wants some"
Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, says he has failed to be gripped by England's rugby union World Cup bid.
"I've not seen it," said the England striker. "I've been watching the rugby league."
