Thought he probably had. It would've been a gutter to look back on had we not won on Saturday, with that near miss, as well as the Wardle one.

Just a mention for a few who've flown under the radar a little.

Tom Forber's been so impressive since coming into the team and was great again on Saturday. Brilliant how he's reached such a high level with so little first team experience.

Liam Byrne's been rock solid the last few weeks of the year. Nothing flashy and it would be nice to think there's more improvement in him but he's been very reliable.

Adam Keighran got little ball but he was a star defensively. Still think he's probably a left sided player playing on the right but he's been a great asset to the team across the year.

That rule either needs changing or applying consistently. We constantly see players encroaching following kicks but rarely penalised unless it results in a try. I accept that Thompson was offside under the letter of the law but he was not interfering with play.
