A backline of Hardaker, Ferguson, MacDonald, Leutele, Charnley, O’Brien and Lam is as good as quite a few teams and better than a few as well. They’ve also got some real threat with Ipape out of dummy half and some solid forwards. There will be a few clubs sweating looking at that side IMO because there won’t be a Toulouse or London to try and creep above.
i've just posted on the other forum, that the rebrand has somewhat overshadowed the signings they made yesterday. Not many people taking the rebrand seriously, with loads of P*** taking on social media from professional and amateur clubs alike.
Some good signings made for a club promoted from the championship, although Macdonald is rumoured to be on his way to Leeds. Have Leigh also released players yet as they were certainly over the quota when they were promoted

Contracts ended of enough overseas players to leave them just one over on the quota. It does sound like MacDonald may be the guy who makes way but the team still looks strong. As things stand Wakey look in big trouble to me, unless they can pull a few signings out. In saying that, plenty have said that about Wakey in the past but they seem to find a way.

MacDonald going to Leeds.

Keep seeing mixed reports. He was, then he wasn’t, then he was again and that was just yesterday. Leigh have tweeted out next years squad today and included him but probably means little.

i've just been on the Leeds board and they seem unsure whether he is or not, and talking about another impact prop, but Jonh is pretty much on the money with info, so not going to argue on that front

Seems he is staying now according to the man himself.
Defo was heading to Leeds, so can only assume he must have a soft spot for jaguars.
If he does stay at Leigh him and Hardaker will be a right handful….and I’m not necessarily talking about on the pitch.

Add Ferguson to that
It's ok they've got a disciplinarian in charge with Lam and a considered owner, who's not prone to hissy fits.
They've obviously put all their eggs into the basket of not getting relegated. Five of the starting 7 in the backline are over 30. Add in Hughes and Holmes (again both over 30) and it's a huge gamble. If they go down, then it will implode.
