Personally I think it's way too early for us to write Roberts off. Now that Pat's cemented himself at full-back, I see no harm in trying Pryce and Roberts as the other centre/wing combination.

That's the option I'd go for. Mathers off the bench.

We should defiantly keep hold of Carmont next season and bring in a new centre for the opposite side! Our attack is almost none existent down the right hand side of the pitch and if a team manages to keep Carmont under raps they majorly dented our attacking options.

I don’t think we should lose Pryce and Goulding either so maybe they could both go on loan possibly next season under the instruction Carmont will be leaving and there is one centre spot available at Wigan after that.

They should be told that this year thepriestman85 - we're bringing in X from the NRL, Carmont is off so the Centre spot is between you two. Whoever plays best gets the contract :)

Maybe but that would have been a little unfair on Pryce as no one knew or still knows how he’s be.

But it’s not the end of the world as Wigan still hold the option to extend Carmont’s time at the club by one year if both parties are happy with that, which I think they will be btw.

It could work in Wigan’s favour as well as we would potentially only be changing one position in the backs next year which is defiantly what we need. One more centre would improve our team no end and I think every one can see that.

If both Pryce and Goulding go out on loan as well and show some promise after getting some extended game time, which they won’t get at Wigan I don’t think, it means we’ll be bringing in a player who is already used to the club when Carmont leaves.

The only problem I have is if we are going for Petro next season I don’t wanna see us bringing in a Aussie or NZ centre as well. Gleeson is still an excellent option for me as no matter where he’s been he’s always got his winger plenty of tries. I think after looking at the centre’s available next season in the NRL Gleeson is defiantly gonna struggle to get a contract in the NRL and it could be his agent trying to talk up a big deal.

Only second game for Pryce after 2 years out.
When he did scoot from dummy half he did a Feka and one of their guys was knocked back 2 yards through the air landing him on his backside.
He is interested IMO but is still way off the pace of the game. Last night's game was pretty quick.
As has been mentioned he's on a wing with either Bailey or Goulding who neither are noted for their passes to a wingman.
Perhaps mid game Noble could switch him and Ainscough to see how he went outside Carmont. Perhaps a different player!

m8 he knocked over stefan ratchford, its not as if hes a huge player, the thing what i dont understand is why does he dive to the floor when he does actually take the ball up, he was clueless in defence the amount of times he came off his wing was awful, if we played a better team he would of been alot more exposed

Pryce is off the pace in terms of defending that's why I think he shouldn't be playing at centre, even though it may be his favoured position. He would be exposed defensively at centre and it's important that he's brought back into Rugby League slowly.

Didn't he go off injured mid-way through the second half?

To say he didn't seem interested is harsh, he hardly got a pass. I'm not particularly criticising Bailey for this, but we attack with more regularity down our left hand side. We look towards Leuluai, Hock, Carmont & Ainscough and it's working well.

Bailey should keep his place at centre. He had another great game.
