I was there!

Went straight from school and got to ground at 4.15 (walked it from Hindley)!
Got on the ground behind the sticks Kop End and at 6.30pm I couldn't see a thing it was that Packed!

Walked home and got in at about 11.30pm and didnt get to sleep till around 3 or 4 in the morning as all I could still hear was the noise from the crowd ringing in my ears!

UNREAL !

Without doubt my greatest sporting memory. I was right up at the top of the corner/kop end where the steps were biggest and a runt like me could see!

I was there - a truly unforgettable experience and an atmosphere that will probably never ever be recreated at a Rugby League game again. The true marker of what the game meant was the number of non Wigan fans who helped swell the crowd - it gave the whole of the British game a lift after the many hammerings suffered by the national team.

I wasn't born for another 4 years!

Wasn't there and it's the only trophy I've not seen us win whilst in attendance. I'd of only been 2 years old, then when we played Penrith at Anfield I had a ticket but wasn't allowed to go as I'd been throwing up all week (probably in excitment for the game!).

Yes I was there I remember getting worried how close the fireworks were coming at the kop end...Fantastic atmosphere.

I was there with my dad.

We went into the snooker club after the game to let the traffic get away. It was still busy at 11 p.m.

I was there,
my mate went to the bar just before kick-off, never saw him again until we met up in the Fox & Goose after the match! He couldn't get back to us on the terraces so he drank the beer and finally got to where he could see the match
