Couple of vendors missing, including the coffee business that is incidentally also one of our few shirt sponsors. Kind of odd for them not to be there for a home league fixture, unless they felt there was a better opportunity to make some cash elsewhere.
I saw it the other way around and noticed whilst they had a face painter bouncy castle and the pizza van, none seemed to be doing much/any business. Beer was selling well but I got the sense the Fev fans who were in attendance didn’t fancy £10 a pop for food and who can blame them. Also lower numbers of kids in attendance despite decent sized crowd. Buck and Dusty still doing their thing and I felt the interacted with the crowd as well as could be expected. The bottom line is getting our crowd size up, and up to the levels that make PL a justifiable expense, are really tricky and the shambles at the start of last season was really, really counterproductive and was always going to be if they had but allocated a moments thought to it. We are in desperate need of some strategic thinking or a big slice of luck. Perhaps a trip to Wembley in the 1895 might be a catalyst?
