28th September is when the Special AGM is being held in Manchester, to announce how the new licensing scheme will work. And what the necessary criteria is that needs to be met to qualify for admission.
Whatever is announced, certain clubs are going to fail to make the grade and this will cause some upset. IMG are the ones in charge, so hopefully they will look beyond M62 corridor. Some clubs may have to merge.
Broncos as we know are in a mess, but if we fail to make the grade, we do not have a future.
IMG seem to be prepared to make the difficult decisions, so we will have to wait and see what happens.

IMG in charge?
I very much doubt that Castleford and Wakefield will be happy to vote for either a merger or one of them being jettisoned to accommodate a more "media friendly" local?
Which of the 2 Hull sides will be sacrificed or will the dreaded "M" word crop up here too?
Will Derek Beaumont go and sign a SL quality side only to be bounced for not having a railway station? (that would be funny)

The game is at a crossroads. It's not dying and nor will it die, but if it opts to reject what IMG proposes it will probably never grow out of its heartlands......

Interesting times, eh?

I believe that the game will go back to being part time and probably play in the Winter too, should the sport reject the proposals of IMG.

Would they be able to afford electricy and fuel costs in winter with current status of Energy? Doubtful. Also I would expect that any radical proposals would be voted out, so anything that passes will be so watered down it won't make much difference.

London with its current senior mgmt is dying no matter how London are viewed by IMG.

The Frogs might go. Their seems to be push back on TO going into the championship as their current licence has expired and the RFL have extended by a year without consultation.
'What do Catalans bring' has been heard many times this year from various SL clubs

Absolutely tired if posting this, but one more time....
Derek the deck builder claimed Leigh brought 1,000 fans to away games. £40 for a ticket, beer and pie....so £40,000 to say Wakefield or Hull FC when Leigh Rick up rather than Toulouse
A profitable or even break even club in SL needs to be turning over £4,000,000......so how does Toulouse costing you 1% impact the clubs?
I hope IMG wrestle control away from the clubs, but I somewhat doubt it

Well the thing that Catlans do bring is a great place to visit & watch RL. Sadly you cannot say that about anywhere up north except maybe York.

Although they have some good talent coming through, think they could do more on the development front which would make our northern friends happy as would be less competitive. Reminds me a bit of Fulham & Broncos first few years. Everyone's favourite 2nd team until you become competitive.

DC you’ve overlooked the Paris of the North - Batley.
