In terms of trying to get locals attending, they probably have two windows. This pair of matches and the Summer Holiday season. Whether its enough I'm not sure. A lot of people's first awareness that the Broncos are in town will be these flyers. But is that enough. I think in the Summer they need to advertise the potential to win a meal out, theatre tickets etc just by attending. Plus make use of the outside space at the ground.
Personally I think these 2 games are done in terms of getting big crowds it’s about damage limitation. I tend to agree they need to make a splash for the summer games a mini re-launch. However, the fly in the ointment is by then the season (and club) could be over.
A 2nd problem is what game do you target? The most obvious is the tranche of July games but the problem is they could be really messy and then we just repeat the misfire we saw at the Widnes/Haven games. I suppose we could try counter-balancing the poor fare on offer on pitch with some effort off it. Beer festival/ kids zone/ meet and greet/ music I don’t know but it might generate some interest and positivity.
