Congratulations. 2021/22 championship winners and they're appealing the RFU decision to stop their promotion.
They plan to have Trailfinders up to 10k capacity in 3 years and will argue that they are better placed than other clubs who rent facilities. They have a wealthy owner who will stand up for them and the RFU may well have to back down....there are a few clubs who average well below this 10k figure.....

Looks like the RU top brass are determined to keep the Ealing upstarts out at all costs.
I hope Trailfinders appeal and win. And if they do increase their capacity it makes our move to Wimbledon dafter by the day, seeing as we could run all of our teams out of Ealing on their all weather surfaces

On closer inspection, the RFU are on shaky ground given 6 of their current sides average less than 10k with the 2 northern teams at Sale and Newcastle on 5k and 6k respectively.
Ealing has a 4k capacity which they could probably get up to 6k in time for the 22/23 season as well as taking games on the road if need be. Sir Mike Gooley is a determined fellow and the RFU might as well change their minds now, because he's got pretty deep pockets too.
