The 21 man squad looks pretty much full strength, only Rian Horsman obviously missing. No extension on Amir Bourouh's loan which is a shame. He looked useful.
Jude Ferreira again in the squad. Based on past weeks squads that may mean he's finally available (it seems unfit players re named in advance of their return!)
Wellington Albert said this is the match he expected to be available for. Let's see if there is a place on the bench for him.
I was hoping for a new face this week, but no luck on that front.
Will Gahan move to the bench with Parata returning to Hooker with Curran, Foster, Lovell, Williams and Palumbo all apparently available to cover the Second Row / Loose Forward positions?
If everybody were fit, I'd assume that Thomas, Oakley, Bill Leyland and probably Grant will miss out. Would mean four forwards on the bench if three backs are omitted. The addition of Thomas and Leyland to the 21 perhaps indicating that there will be a pure back on the bench. Probably all depends if Ferreira is fit (or partially fit).
IIRC Ferrara has been in the reserves. Not easy to track down team news on reserves as website and Twitter dont bother but I think that’s right. If so seems more not selected as opposed to injured. Not sure he would have swapped Hull reserves for LB reserves if he’d known so, if I’m correct, it’s been a bold move by Coleman, but if he thinks that’s the way it is then that’s what he has to do. However SL teams seem to loan out to clubs they can trust to bring on players so their are consequences of that kind of thing. Side beginning to look settled which is good but I still think that we need some to come in in May. I’d like to see someone who can kick. Really important part of the game. I see other northern teams are beginning to get a few SL players in who aren’t playing regularly. I see the Greenlagh brothers and Vrahmos played for Skolars last week. I think that is a better fit. Interesting game this we’ll see if we are coming along but then we have another week off so really disjointed section of the season.
300 or so in the south Stand now...looking like 1,500. Can't see anything other than another defeat here, but that said, Bradford lost to Sheffield, so there's a chance.
As suggested Gahan is indeed coming off the bench with Parata moving back to Hooker with interestingly Foster moving to starting Prop.
Both Grant and Ferreira start at Centre. Neither Leyland in the 17, so Thomas named at Hooker. Hoping he does better than the (I think it was) Whitehaven match.
Wellington hasn't made it back for the match he was targetting though.
0-8 at h/t. Not unexpected but let’s hope we don’t get nilled again, would be a big step back psychologically.

So close and yet…. I think I’m right in saying that all the bottom 4 teams lost this weekend so at least we haven’t been left behind. Looking like we’ll need to beat Workington, Dewsbury and Haven home and away and perhaps spring a surprise result here and there

I'd say the Broncos are a "general on the pitch" away from winning a game like today. Would the chap now at Barrow have filled that role?
A few observations.
Thomas looked much better today, especially with the ball in hand.
Does Ferreira now the rules? I think he turned it over twice with an infringement after being tackled and looking to make a standard restart. Don't know what they were (knock-ons?) as I don't the rules myself.
Bienek looks a massive threat ball in hand. But again played very limited minutes.
Once again Siti telegraphed a grubber kick 10 yards out resulting in an 80 yard break by Bradford. Just like he did against York.
Dalton Grant looks our best centre, he was sin binned after 60 minutes during which Broncos scored. Not a position of strength mind.
Two Hookers on the pitch. Bradford put in and neither in the scrum. Scrums are about as serious as not allowing a shooter to be defended in Netball!
Forwards look good. Need a play maker in the backs. Ullberg and Walker stand-out in the backs.
20+ minute delay in the first half as a Bradford fan was helped by the medical staff.
The fella at Barrow USED to fulfil that role for us, very successfully!
