Well, only the fact that fans with London Post Codes, applied in the greatest number for tickets in the first RLWC 2021 ballot.

Means nothing if they dont lend support to the local teams playing in London

1. there are large swathes of the population who will gladly pay good money to attend internationals, in every sport, but never go near club games

2. the Broncos don't exactly go out of their way to tell people they exist, do they?

I have to agree Nadera78. A sign outside the church and ads on back of the bus. Not much effort is it.
I have a customer who's son lives in Ealing. The Son who used to watch The Broncos at Charlton as a kid, had no idea that we played in Ealing until I told him.
He actually went to the HKR game last season, because I saw him there.
The club are no good at selling themselves. They do not really market the fans that they already have.
I would think that a survey of where Broncos match day fans travel from, would show very few locals and that home fans travel quite some distance to attend games. I know plenty who do.

Think you are correct Bosty. Sure i saw figures a few years back that showed Broncos fans travel further to home games than their northern counterparts did to get to away games.

Also previously didn't Sky reveal that the bulk of their viewing figures for RL are based in the South East?

Having London in SL would add credibility to the wider sporting public that Castleford, Wakefield or Salford never will. But it does need a successful London for SL to get the biggest benefit. Doubt there is the wisdom or desire amongst the RFL or club Owners to allow that to happen.

Couldn’t we get the details of the RFL and reach out to them or ask the RFL to promote the club.

Mac out!

There might be GDPR issues with that. It's not my area but I know you have to be careful in sharing people's details with other organisations.

The sky viewing figures are pretty irrelevent to the arguement. Put money on it the folk that are watching RL on sky in the south are those saints, wigan, leeds, cas, fans etc that live down south. Those folk tend to come to watch London broncos once only in a season.
They are never going to flock to london as proven already

Which supports my comment that where ticket sales for WC have come from is irrelevent if they dont watch club rugby.

All those expat northerners down here know exactky who London Broncos are.
All the expat aussies if they are NSW or QLD generally dont care about SL never mind London broncos, but will go watch the aus national team playing in any sport.
