It's good to hear that the club did the right thing by the bloke, especially with the job he was heading too. Family has to come first
The club do a lot of good things mate, they just chose not to announce them and bask in glory for it. That's why I get so annoyed at morons popping at a 70 year old bloke who does nothing but good for the club and can't defend himself. Not that he would justify most of it with a response anyway.
The club is tiny, the fan base is small, the retail is virtually none existent, the stadium is ideal for the playing and training needs but not financially beneficial. The RFL want to change the rules again. SKY are rumoured to be slashing the money massively for 2021 leaving the game and many clubs in limbo.
Given all of that plus more do people really expect David to keep throwing cash at it in the way they have historically? It's time to be stable and see what happens. If it means going down then getting back up should be a lot easier especially as it will likely be two promotion spots with potentially no full teams to compete with.
And let's be honest this season is far from concluded. If London stay up on this budget and with the steady growth continuing then I hope there will be some humble pie on the menu in the hospitality lounge. If they don't then are people really suggesting Wardy and Langers can't fire this squad through the Championship again?
