Great Article......The more I see and hear of Mr Ward the more I am impressed with him as a man manager and as a coach/tactician. He might well be the best appointment Hughes has made to date. Rugby League is a TEAM game and if we stick to the mentality of every day try and be better, I have no doubt we will stay up.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

The Broncos again feature in the Daily Mirror. This time an excellent article on our young prop, Rob Butler. Rob who is keeping Mark Ioane out of the team, has come through the youth system and despite his age, he has a lot of first team experience. Now as a twenty year old Super League player, he does not look out of place. He faced up to Sean O'Loughlin in the Wigan game, much to the Wiganners annoyance. What is nice about the lad is, he finds time to help out his junior club, Medway Dragons. Let us hope the youngsters at Medway see him as a role model and others the like of Rob follow.
Nah.... But credit where its due, we do seem to have a PR angel looking over us this year....
