Those of you who attended the Open Day last Saturday will have seen the work on the new stand. How is it coming along and were there any plans etc to give an idea of what it will look like? I have been told it will contain a bar and a shop, I wonder if this is so? I have to ask, is there any idea when it will be open?

The ground work looked well under way. Some new hard surface car parking has been added near the entrance. There was a question on the stand with the answer being that once groundwork is complete the stand turns up in kit form and only takes a few days to assemble. Will hold 1000 and indeed it was mentioned it would have a bar and shop. FYI, DH said season ticket sales were 25% up.
Interesting interview with the Ealing trailfinders owner and how much he has spent on the club. If they get promoted they have been talking for a while with other clubs about groundsharing.

Sounds familiar! Rich owner pumping money into the club. Ground not really big enough for comp they are aiming for. Team without any recognisable big names. Small fan base. Talk of groundshare with other clubs. Competition where top clubs are trying to close shop.
Ealing RU have less fans than the Broncos and are hemmed in by Harlequins and the returning London Irish. That's an even bigger money pit than the Broncos.
