Season deciding game in my eyes. Toronto look to be improving with each passing week, but we really need to win over there, or the top 4 spot that we looked so assured of earlier in the season will be in real danger.....Away to Toulouse, Featherstone and at Home to Halifax are other potential "end games"......exciting, but uncomfortable to watch.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
Stick by my prediction on the other thread, losses to Toronto and Toulouse away coming up. 16 possible points left reckon 10 at best, will that get us 4th slot? It’s going to be close. Would love to see Toronto implode at home and us overturn em, but we will not do that playing like we did today.

Top 4 would be nice. This team sadly cant compete at middle 8 level and we will take some hammerings should we get there.
The team that started the season would compete well in the 8s, this version is far too clunky. There is something not quite right at the moment, and there seemed to be a lot of recriminations behind the sticks rather than collectiveness.
As for games, Toronto away will be a miracle, Toulouse will be tough but do-able, but for me provided we don't have a banana skin moment, it will come down to Fev game away.
Wire quin, not sure it’s down to api, we had a few good wins with meadows. You are right though the game plan seems to have changed, going up the middle we get nowhere. 4 or 5 drives then a kick has its place but not all game. We have some excellent edge players who can be dazzling when they get the right ball! We looked good when we played expansive
I honestly think had we had a proper HB alongside Sammut we may have got something out of that game. We were second best all day long, had only one attacking threat in Sammut and yet we still was in it up till the end. We were too easy to defend against as Channing was too slow and they knew they only had to keep Sammu quiet (and they struggled with that). Another attacking option would have given us more chances I fancy.
Just watching batley Dewsbury game, much more entertaining, both teams playing expansive rugby and seems to be a lot quicker than our game. Probably a good choice putting us on first. Can’t really criticise Channing that much, as said he was out of position he is not a HB. Dixon heading to the touch line twice not good. On the plus, the penalty count was pretty low
