Ok we put 60plus past them today, but overall I was disappointed today, and will be surprised if wardy is happy. I think scrappy at times sums it up, we were 4 2 days wn on the penalty count at half time, 3 of those for interference at the PTB. Knocking on from kick off, coming out of the red zone chucking the ball into touch silly mistakes. Dragon on the board for a brace on his 100th consecutive appearance was great though. Api some excellent bits some poor. Great to see butler getting some game time.
TBH I remember 3 years ago coming home on the tube from Barnet having just watched us lose to Hunslet in a dead championship shield rubber in front of 300 people and wondering just why was I putting myself through this torture week on week.
Roll forward 3 years and coming back from seeing us thump Bately by over 50 points, we have had the best start to a season I can remember, we are looking certs for top 4 and very good shout to actually come top, yes I could be critical of the first 20 mins of 2nd half... but I just look at the table, I see where Leigh and Bradford are, and I can't be anything but happy.
Yes we were not flawless today but hey, it could be a lot worse.
Think the week off was good to give some of the guys with bumps and bruises recovery time, but we seem to have lost some fluency and timing, easter is going to be interesting.
Thought apart from the spell at the start of second half we look good today especially going forward. As per Crashmon i remember that Hunselt game and it really did feel the last days of a dead club - This run might not go on for much longer but at the moment I'm going to enjoy it

I have to say I thought Batley were poor today. Sammut I think could have returned if needed, but with the way things were keeping him off made sense. As I understand it the Batley player threw a punch. I missed it myself. He did his team no good at all by it. I would expect us to put out a drastically different team next week. I hope Jay Pitts coming off was a precaution, with a couple of easy games to come though he would have time to recover before the Easter games.
