Was quite funny stood behind the sticks how well the fev fans could see we were offside at every ptb.
The comment when we got a set restart. "See that's what I don't get" yet soon as they got one, " about bloody time laying all over"

Listened on Radio Leeds which was amusing. Fantastic performance and will take confidence into the final.

Yes, that Radio Leeds coverage was a scream. I assume the final is being televised?

The two grown-up daughters deigned to pay a visit to Bongser Towers yestereve and so was unable to listen to the match. Only occurred to the ageing noggin when already in bed that the result was still unknown to this party, but phone was charging downstairs. CBA syndrome kicked in.

Finally checked on a worktime smoke break this morning. It was more in hope than expectation, but hope won out.

Absolutely delighted for you - just read the whole thread (some of it again) and it gave a lot of pleasure when thinking back to people's dark posts early in '22. Well Done Broncos!

That said, feel for some of the decent Fev fans (most notably Phantom Horseman, though there are others). Last season, Leigh (still an imago at that point) lost Round Two in Fev's slutch, but thereafter dominated.

Your correspondent was vociferous last season (and in seasons before) that it was a crappy system that could see Leigh fail to be promoted after finishing top (already fielding the five players that this season made the SL Dream Team) on the result of a one off game. He maintains his stance.

Fev finished second in '22 and fell at the semi stage. This season they 'bullied' the rest of The Champ, finished a massive dozen points clear at the top aaaaand....fell, in a one off game, at the same penultimate hurdle.

With IMG's advent, this is redundant now. Bongser's crusade will go on: sCRAP the Grand Final!

Having said that, please beat Les Crapauds!

Really strong performance at start of the game seemed to catch Fev out - still unexpected though and to score 6 tries at Fev no mean feat. Definitely in with a shout against TO Bongser. Bizarre thing is as it becomes closer to reality what that would really mean becomes clearer and exactly how Broncos would navigate next season in Super League is a complete mystery. Anyway let’s worry about that first world problem if it happens. Well done to the team.
