Whilst much easier for me to get to, I feel the same. This was the match I've least enjoyed, because I felt the players didn't turn up. It wasn't the least entertaining, it was that only one team were up for it.

In the pre game warm up it was obvious Newcastle were pumped up for the win, they were 2 gears ahead of us before kick off.
Did anyone see where the teamsheets were being kept/hidden as I couldn't find one although one was posted on the social.
Performance was pretty dismal, it was an odd game though. The first half I think we played only one set in the Newcastle half, and scored. Theme was repeated in second half, if we got in there half it resulted in a score. It was an odd game in that aspect
In attack, lacking any leadership, this is a poor team but with a leader on the pitch as chisholm showed they can perform. Defensively missed tackles and poor technique always going to be punished. Some real basic errors though, blatant ball steal when two in the tackle, bombing a try by trying to improve conversion angle, uncontrolled PTB. Posives! Not that many penalties given away.
As for game experience and Fri night! Reckon its the way ahead if they survive, 900+ better than expected, yes probably a lot of free tickets but a lot more kids and family atmosphere than seen on any Sunday. For me travel so much easier fri night compared to a Sunday but I ride, so i don't rely on public transport. Didn't like the foul language some of regular fans think is acceptable though.

I agree. All season our warm up has seemed lacklustre. I mentioned this before as in previous seasons we’ve seemed much more energised. I agree Newcastle were pumped up making a right old racket.
No I didn’t see any team sheets although as they aren’t really team sheets but a slightly cut down list of our wider squad their usefulness is lessened. Our minimalist approach to presence in the ground is baffling. We simply have been transported to someone else’s ground in South London and left to work it out ourselves. One assumes gold lounge is a better experience.

In their defence ( no pun intended) not withstanding the 3 line breaks that led to walk in tries I thought some of our impact tackling was good. We have a number of big fellas who can knock players over and we work hard defending our own line which is just as well as we spend quite a bit of time doing so. Our kicking game though is toilet.

It was noticeable there was a big group of kids who seemed to enjoy it and some families taking up cheap/free tickets. The question is will they come again. A team that loses heavily every game is not a draw but there were periods in that game where we were in it as opposed to say all the other games this season except Dewsbury.

There was also an overthrow pass with the line beckoning, a Latu failure to pass with the line beckoning and Leyland’s indecision on how to beat the last defender (having made a nice break) that with more composure/skill could have led to tries, albeit ones we would not have converted.
