Jay Pitts signed a new two year contract in June 2018, taking him through to the end of 2020 (Google is your friend). So, how can he be off to Wakefield next season?

I expect he told Dave
a) He misses his mum or b) His significant other cant find a decent Yorkie Pud in London

Dave then tears up the contract.
Spot on.....we seem to be happy to let people walk away from their contractual obligations.....another shrewd bit of business
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
I know nothing to do with our squads in and out. But if I was a conspiracy theorist. I would start thinking that Hull KR and Leeds are doing everything to make sure we go down what with them swapping players getting rid of players to make room for quota players and also allegedly Leeds bringing in Robert Lui from Salford. Lol
Well I would be very surprised if KR and leeds were not doing everything they can to try to make it us at the bottom of the pile! If it's not us at the end of the season it's one of them the way it stands. As for contracts, nice to see folk making assumptions and adding 2 plus 2 to get 3 We have no clue how the club handles okayet contract, maybe wakey came in with an offer.

Don't let facts get in the way of Barnaby and his bullying of a 70 year old man from behind his keyboard just because he hasn't given him a contract working for the club

Will you be at Castleford on Sunday, come and say hello, let's try and bottom out some of these issues you have?
Warrington game? We have the errea truck there so I will be around there and then in David's box, come and say hello. Don't be shy, come out from behind the curtain
Players come players go, very few in any sport are 1 club players. As long as they do the job for you when they are with you then that's in reality all you can ask. As for contracts that's between player and club, none of us on here are gonna change it. Sad to see alex heading north, wakey a bit of a surprise but maybe Jay heading there as well helped the decision, for him maybe he sees it as a stepping stone.
