I'm a converted Aussie.
In my honest opinion, if the ground was closer to town (SW London postcodes, near tube) I think we would see a lot more Aussies coming to games. My biggest trouble getting mates out to the games is that they claim that its too far to go.
Pity that the cheap season ticket was scrapped, 5 mates and I were going to commit if they were still around. Travelling as much as we do on weekends makes it hard to commit to a season ticket, now we will pick and chose games throughout the year.
I think Superleague is a poor cousin of the NRL as do all my Aussie mates, but i need my rugby league fix and harlequins are now my adopted team. Lets hope the Manly game can convince a few more. Will the club have a stand and information regrarding season tickets, or perhaps a multi ticket offer available at the Manly game to entice the new fans to return?

your havin a laugh, surely aussies are used to travelling great distances , i suspect they dont come in great numbers due to the SL being inferior to NRL,(in their eyes)

Yeah we are, but once you settle in London you are used to having everything at your finger tips. If its outside zone 2, its too far to travel is the opinion of most of the expats I know.
