I couldn’t agree more. Making a good Championship side out of hungry L1 players is possible just as it’s possible to be a good player in a poor side but I think fans are entitled to be concerned, given management’s belief that there were tonnes of PT players wanting to move to London, that we seem only to be able to recruit en masse from the two worst teams in the league.

We want to be supportive of players willing to give it a go for us and I hope no one from the playing or non playing staff read these forums because we don’t want to demotivate them but management can’t surely expect us to be doing cartwheels here. There are only so many diamonds in the rough we can unearth: otherwise Coleman will have pulled off a master stroke here.

Again, without wanting to be sxxx about it, quite. What seems to me to be happening is he is constructing a really strong L1 side with the additional funds available, the draw of playing in the higher league and his L1 knowledge of who has played well against Skolars. How far that gets us up the table, what kind of performance we put in and what size crowds we draw are live and legitimate questions.

I will always be, Glass Half Full! Never half empty, even a poor team can have a few good players! I will judge a few months into the 2022 Season, if I'm wrong, I will be man enough to admit it! Hope plenty gloom mongers here will be the same.

We cant afford players because we have a new ground and more admin fees and two extra grounds to pay for with training. Oh well someone must know what they are doing

It could be as simple as that. Which is crazy. On field product drives sales and attendance.

It’s a good attitude to have but it’s hard when we are poaching players from West Wales when not so long ago it was Widnes/Sheffield/ Fev or players that hadn’t quite made SL grade consistently. Everything points to a lower standard and poorer results and those home games against Bradford, Fev and in particular TO were pretty horrible to watch. The fear is there are now a greater number of teams who will hand out that type of beating. Quite how that fits with Plough Lane is difficult to see.
