Still not sure why anyone would have taken the risk of spending 500 notes to fly somewhere for a game that in Jan was looking highly unlikely to happen at the location or even in the country advertised! I hope for those that have booked that either the pitch is ready or a suitable alternative is found but I would still put my money on it being played closer to hull East Yorkshire than hull in Ottawa. Let’s see what happens eh!
Have to agree with you bosty. But it’s the great expansion plan so who are we to complain. I fail to see how woodsy can put a good spin on the value of Toronto with what’s happened so far this year. Toulouse was one thing, Halifax in defence of Toronto if I am correct was driven by the RFL, so not fully sure what is going on.

I'd start with the club (London) as a first point of contact, then the RFL. I remember the French Fiasco, when fans were on the plane home as the game was kicking off......enough of us made a fuss that the Parliamentary RL group sought confirmation that for games so far away for away supporters this would never happen again.....I still don't know why it's gone all quiet on Hamilton?
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
