Very decent run out against a very solid side who aspired to be the Harlem Globetrotters of RL and where plenty physical. We played some decent stuff early pre season errors but were strong in defence. Worrying injury to Cunno. Plenty to improve on both on and off field but pre season is where we iron out the issues.

I think I am right in saying they are a rep side who dont play in a league as such. They had a couple of ex NRL players including Nathan Merritt - they were no mugs and the pace of the game was faster than a lot of the Champ games last year. Bloem refereed pretty well, especially as the Yowies took an interest in head shots.
Have to say the new signings Stapleton and Battye look excellent, Slyney back to his old self, Macani showed some great pace and confidence, Barthau was top notch, the young lads Walker and Davis very impressive ... we did bomb a couple of chances, one from Rhys W was a pearler, but better in this game.

Any idea of the attendance? Any of the union crowd stick around? Didn't make the game, was across town watching Man City scrape a lucky point against the mighty 'Ammers at the Boleyn.
Well f**k my hat, I didn't know that!
Come all without, come all within, we're London Broncos not the H********s!
Shocking suggesting that there were a fair few high shots from yowies that would be supporting fact players might deliberately bend the rules in order to win Good summary mate thanks
We stood with a dozen or so Union fans who stayed until half time. They like us were impressed with The Yowies, who were no mugs. It was a good run out.The game was played at a really high pace. We soaked up loads of pressure, particularly in the first half. Put them to the sword a bit in the end. It was a really good work out and the type of pre season game we should be playing.
I have always thought that 40/20 kicks have been a neglected tactic as far as The Broncos have been concerned. If we can exploit Barthaus kicking of 40/20s it gains us valuable metres and puts the opposition under pressure. In fact his kicking was superb, long may it continue.
