I think NB that this funding thing is a rather cynical move by the eleven Super league teams who are setting the team that get the twelfth spot up to fail. Ensuring that the new team get relegated will be saving Super league bottom dwelling clubs hides.
The whole governance of RL is a mess. The sport, excluding what is on the pitch, is a disgrace. Whether you agreed with the expansion to Toronto was a good thing, what sport abandons after 2 years an expansion. After wales, Gateshead etc where is the sport going? If they pick York or featherstone they will be signalling myopia on a level beyond belief?
Surely some kind of play off should be arranged, give it to sky for free or see if BT or the BBC will take it, SL should fund it...........

Guarantee had we been drawing 15/20k a game at the stoop we woujd still be there!. The SL funding thing is an issue and a crazy idea, suppose the way they are viewing it is the team coming in have to prove there worth to the league! Would love to see who ever gets the spot do well and not finish bottom, wonder how they will deal with that?
Well if we had of attracted 15/20k to a game at the Stoop, a fair number would not have got in.
Never doubt the reduced funding for 12th club is anything other than a way to grab more money for themselves & to try to ensure their SL status. Sadly RL is still run by people with little vision but huge self interest.
Sylvain Houles insists TO will be ready to step up if selected for Superleague
Rise like Lions after slumber In unvanquishable number-- Shake your chains to earth like dew Which in sleep had fallen on you-- Ye are many -- they are few.'
Good to see Sylvain doing well. Used to travel to Charlton from London Bridge will him a number of times which led to sponsoring him. He was always vexed with Tony Rae for playing him when he had a niggling injury.

I wonder if it was decided who the 12th Club would be, even before clubs were asked to apply, if your club met the qualifications? No shock that the remaining 11 clubs want to look after their own interests when the financial share out comes? some clubs crying poverty must have been getting some payment from Sky the number of matches at some clubs.
What frustrates me is how silent Our Club tends to be when it comes to the media, most Championship and 1st Division clubs tend to come up with some news for 'League Express' each week, except London? we must have a media person at the club?
Also in September there was a Fanfare for the announcement of The London Broncos Official Supporters Club, I joined the same evening, it as superb to read about the numbers joining, but it is now mid November and what has happened since, Nothing!
I guess the argument is if there is noting to say, what can you say!! DW was in LE saying that we will look at recruitment when we know what division we are in (or words to that affect). My worry is that it does not leave much time.
I still have a suspicion that the favoured club may have been tipped off behind the scenes
Im still waiting for our exciting news to be released. Seems a lifetime ago now

And what has happened to the £16m the game was given to see them through at least the 1st lockdown? I'm inclined to agree with you Jaybs & there is a preferred applicant. It might also explain why some clubs have continued to sign players. Nudge nudge wink wink!
at this point I'd be surprised if the club even applies for the vacant spot in SL. We don't meet the criteria on playing venue anyway, but could probably fudge that if everything else went the right way, but the club is just an empty husk these days. And I'm not simply talking about the playing squad.
