Assume we don’t go up, hope you realise that if the 2 referee thing goes ahead, the standard of ref in the championship will be lower than this year. All the refs we had this year will now be doing second ref in SL games so everyone else will step up ! Have to be careful what we wish for. Hopefully we will be in SL so it will not be a prob

As I said, I am in favour if it improves the quality and consistency of refereeing. Of course refs will need to do more games, maybe they will get better as a result.
That’s the point Refs will not do more games, the Refs we have had those season mainly will step up to be second ref at top tier. The Refs that did NL1 will then step up to fill the games in the championship that need covering, all you achieve is SL get less penalties at the ptb at championship level you have less experienced guys.

Time for 0 hour contracts then......it's not like they're "snowed under".......4 games a weekend with 2 in the middle, one in the in-goal and one on the touchline.....a full-time Video Referee (a child with a rule book could do that). If we don't have enough, then the RFL/SL need to take some money away from the SL clubs to pay for them.........
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

Why cant refs do 2 games a weekend. Its not like they are getting tackled(unless its Widnes) and taking the ball up. I accept they run a few miles but why cant they run a few more or does the 5 day rule apply to that lot too.
Hey if you think Refs doing more games will improve the standard fine. That’s always worked in sport hasn’t it? It’s what they do in the NRL isn’t it?
Thought they needed more training? If they are doing two games a weekend when is training, recovery and prep done. As for zero hours they struggle enough to get guys to go full time, anyhow coz of the money, they get paid a retainer and then per game.
Just saying what will happen guys. Why are there no in goals in championship? Because there are not enough to go round
I am amateur, I do between 4 and 6 miles in a game depending on the game. It used to be Review is done watching the video of your own game, with a call by call written review. The full time guys also do peer to peer review. They also have independent review panel and coaching. Training all depending on game day. Recovery session, light training swimming pool etc There was a dedicated fitness and game training day, usually tues I think. Then there is pre game prep sessions Full time eg. Usually 2 roles over a weekend! Say fri sat, sun off. Mon recovery session and review, tues fitness, wed off, thu light training and pre game prep. Obviously that changes depending on game days.
