After that, there'll be a set of fans from last year who attended the majority of games but didn't have a season ticket. There'll be a lot fewer of them this year - the club should be in contact to find out why. All very easy to do.

This move was never going to address the real problems at the club. However, the management compounded the error by proceeding with this at a time when they were in a very poor position to retain loyal fans. They then compounded it again through pricing. Season tickets were great value in the past, whereas membership only makes sense if you will attend the vast majority of games. To cap it all there was very little engagement with fans through this process to manage the change.

The club is now seeing the full effect of its own diabolical management.

I too have had an email from Skolars and previously a glossy card fro Hemel. I have only been to Skolars once .
- years ago and have never paid to go to Hemel, although did go there years ago. Seems both clubs are more professional than the Broncos even though the Broncos must have a bigger budget.

I am trying to understand what this means. The obvious things I have thought of are:

1. The club want to fail and are just going through the motions; or
2. They are hoping fir an upturn in competitiveness on the pitch marketing; or
3. The staff are disinterested / incompetent or similar.

Any other ideas?

Selco, answer our prayers!

David Hughes - The Gerald Ratner of Rugby League? Discuss. Or not as the case may be.

No apology for the data breach yet either.

Indeed the club's failure to respond to e-mails on this matter is, at least, disrespectful.

Working for the club? All those years of PR experience will soon have them packing both stands and the terraces will be rammed.....

Not only that but the membership nonsense is confusing. I couldn't be bothered working out what it all meant. If there'd have been a simple season ticket I may have got one or two this year. As it is I probably won't bother going to many if any more games this year. Doesn't seem the club want supporters so I'll probably oblige them.

Torbreck wrote:We were long standing ST holders. The three main facts that persuaded us not to become a membership holder is-
A) the joining fee
B) the massive hike of 'youth' concession prices
C) I can't get to every home game this season so the monthly membership just wasn't worthwhile. Purchasing 11 walk-up tickets is virtually the same as the 13 match annual membership cost.

A shame as the Hive is so easy for me to get to. Equally a shame is that I probably won't bother going to another game (home or away) until we win a match. Just 26 wins out of the 113 games since starting the 2010 season is enough of a failure rate for me not to want to come and watch more defeats. Sad but true.

Much the same story for me and the other three ex-season ticket holders in the family.

We have been to two of the games so far. The poor results on the pitch are not yet an issue for us we are fans so by definition a little bit fanatical i.e. daft. We didn't renew (or take out membership) because it is more expensive and more complex and the increased journey time makes clashes with other commitments a problem in being able to get to all the games.

Curious to know what happened to the family ticket - £30 for four of us for the Salford game, £38 for two of us (adult and youth) for the Wakefield game.
