Evening All. Barrow have been a good team this season despite being newbies as their Championship position testifies. But for your old mate Sammut (our old mate for a handful of minutes before an early red card and then Kung Flu) missing a late penalty, they would have gained a draw at home to Leigh back in June. The wise on here will know that that is not a Leyther gloating, Bongser is a Rugby League man, no boaster, no troll.
They scored 28 points that day and are the only team since to score 20 against Leigh's Scrooge defence - at LSV to boot!
They are one point behind fourth placed Batley, a team that has to visit Leigh this weekend - and one that was nilled by 36 in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. Barrow will not be seeing this game as a dead rubber!
That said, Bongser is right behind you as there are some good coves on this forum and (as well) a win for The Broncos would see Batley gain home advantage in the repeat fixture in the play-off eliminator and then they might clear a banana skin out of Leigh's path.
Nothing is taken for granted by a lifelong Leigh and Bolton supporter - "es aitch one tee 'appens" - as we Northern monkeys say.
