York were a stand out club for social media engagement towards the end of Oxford RL The club was close to being in its knees a year or two earlier, victim of a very rare Oxford away win up north and shedding fans at an alarming rate. The ground redevelopment then saw them playing at an NCL ground for a while, shedding more fans.

However the club were getting things right behind the scenes, rebuilding links with local community RL, employing a talented young coach and engaging a fan with social media skills to drive community engagement. I believe he was a volunteer, if he's still doing it I suspect the workload means he would be paid something now.

Whilst it has to be said they benefitted from the decline of York City FC, any lower level rugby league club looking for a model club regeneration example could do far worse than talk to York. The behind the scenes work and planning leading up to the move to the new stadium was very impressive.

Think you will find date 13 April was royal flying corps, not the royal air corps. Royal air corps never existed
Royal Air Force was April 1.
RFC was army
Not pedantic just didn't have a clue what royal air corps was!

Aha. I stand corrected and am relieved I don't have to feed you.
Although its a hell of a leap for anyone to believe that you didn't know I was referring to the Royal Flying Corps,.navy background or not and were being a straight up smart @rs3 as well as a pedant 8)
Nearly 4.30pm Wednesday and still a broken link on the banner for the bradford game.
The club are based out of a regus office in Richmond as well as at the ground. It is becoming obvious that the "mates company" eagle and whatever aren't up to the job and are more focused on Wilmslow where most of their clients are  I'm not sure who is who's mate here, but Christ WIX and a 1st yr student would be better. Why not Pay someone for 2 days work a week (Matchday and Monday) planning the weeks social media, designing banners, capturing and editing video, as well as capturing game day stuff and updating social media.
Heres a thought. Rather than try to make a snapshot of 20nfans make the place look busy, get pictures of the kids with @buckndusty, pictures of people coming through the turnstiles, people in the bar, folk buying pies.....not just stills of players celebrating a try?
Not a lot to do this week for the back.office. no game, no away trip to dodge (or foreign Twitter to piggyback)....maybe take stock of other clubs web and social media.....because ours is pathetic.
Northener.....here's my grandfather in about 1914. Not sure of rank etc, but he did reconnaissance flights and was based in France for nearly the entire 4 years.

Possibly fine tuning a big comms push for these 3 important games and will then announce in a coordinated manner.

Entire York game including commentary available......that's pretty smart from York

Yes it is especially as it is a London home game. One day maybe we’ll be in a position to do this type of thing (again).

At one time we used to get some Radio London coverage. My local football team (HRBRC) do their own commentaries home and away.

Sorry but I just cannot get used to them playing in the Wire Kit. It just feels so wrong. At least when they had the quins top it was distinctive, but being a poor mans Warrington just is all wrong

Agreed. Especially when last year's kit was one of the best we have had.
