Toronto appear to have hit a brick wall. They really are playing poorly at the moment. Leigh are recruiting experienced players and could steal it.



Anyway back to can we stay up; we have put ourselves in a position where it's up to us. Relatively 'easy' run in against some mid to lower table teams.

Looking at those fixtures, I just don't think anyone can call it. Every team in SL is still fighting for something, either play off spots or avoiding relegation, which is great for the competition.



Looks like I might have to make a couple of (rare for me) away trips in the last two weeks of the season.

In our favour, I'm not sure we have ever had a more committed bunch of players. It's great that we still have a realistic chance of staying up at this stage of the season.



However, our squad is thin so hopefully we can avoid too many injuries to give ourselves the best possible chance.

Where are we at with Injuries. We have 2 weeks off now, I think i read the frog was due back soon.

At last we have competitive league this year.

Makes a lot of sense to promote 2 this time but suspect that will only happen if the Rhinos end up at the foot of the pile.

Hmmm. Are you implying that we are a well managed club? Where do you think we'd be right now if DH had followed through in his promise at the end of 2013 and walked? I have no crystal ball, but a quid'll get you a ton it wouldn't be Superleague.



I am enjoying the drama this year and it is exciting that everyone is still playing for something, but outside of SL, clubs are reliant on DR Players and benefactors to survive. If the Championship gets its own TV deal with C4, then maybe there's life there after SL stops the funding, but if not, it'll be a part time comp inside 5 years.

The two home games look pretty vital now - then the last two away games. Might have to go to Craven Park, though as an ex-Hull fan despise the place. Just hope sky don't move our final fixture as my son is flying in from Dublin for the game!

With games against Leeds and Hull KR still to play we very much have our fate in our own hands.

But it’s so tight at the bottom and results are so unpredictable......

Even if we end up finishing bottom of the pile yes it would be disappointing but non of us can say it's not been a fun season

Brock Lamb won an under 20s minor premiership alongside Luke Yates.

He played 32 firstgrade games for Newcastle and 1 for Sydney Roosters.

He is currently one of the best players in the NSW cup, but can't push ahead of Cooper Cronk, Luke Keary and Lauclan Lam at the Roosters.

He played for Australian Schoolboys in a tour of England a few years ago and went head to head with a kid named Jordan Abdull. Lamb was pretty much the player of the series, and Abdull was England's best.

I don't know how he'll work out as a short term signing. He is very much an organiser and game manager who controls games and sets up tries for others, but needs time with players to learn how to use their strengths.

Looking at the NSW cup stats, this year Brock Lamb has played 16 games. He is the leading player in the comp for kick metres, number of kicks, intercepts and field goals. He is number 2 for try assists with 18 in 16 games, number 3 for linebreak assists with 13, and is also in the top 5 for support runs, taking the ball to the line, points scored and goals scored. He has 5 tries and 45 goals for 111 points in 16 games.

Seems like a talented player. Hopefully he can adapt quickly and do a good job for us.

The last two fixtures against Hull kr and Wakefield are obviously crucial, you need to win 1 game before then to still have a fighting chance going into the final 2 weeks.
