July...that's when you sharpen the axe.......
23 Points in 2006 was our final score....11 wins and a draw against 16 Losses.
11 wins this year is highly unlikely.......and nobody was suggesting any axe sharpening AFAIK........but I would recommend St David of Swinton get his friggin' wallet out if he fancies SL footie at the wedding venue next season.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
dreadful. No props and np playmeker might as well pack up until next seasons chanmpionship. We are a great championship team but there is no way at this moment in time we can compete with SL teams.

Poor show, almost left at half time. We are not going to gain any new fans with games like this. I guess Salford took the foot off the gas in the 2nd half.

Calling London, after your great optimistic start to the campaign, you are starting to look like relegation material, this is not intended to be any kind of a negative post, but if it is possible for you to increase your squad with some investment in quality, and your owners can find the resources to fund it, you must act quickly, this league is unforgiving, and while Saints and Warry apart, the rest are pretty much standard, invest if you can now, or the spectre of relegation is waiting.

Owner failed in general to fund a squad to be competitive, and specifically failed to fund an adequate replacement halfback for Sammut. Ward is trying to keep us in SL with at least one hand tied behind his back. Main worry now is that heads have dropped and morale is gone too.

Short sighted by Hughes. Spend a bit at the start of the season (on the squad and marketing). Squad has a better chance to stay up and play Super League next season. New/lapsed fans attracted and more chance they will hang around. Crowd goes up, money comes in. Or we could go cheap on the squad and keep the club a secret. Plenty of players still available who could do a job for us. HKR seem to be bringing a couple in. Easy a few players likes Yates floating around in the NSW/Queensland cup
Its so frustrating. What should be a great, enjoyable season is turning into a massive damp squid. As I said before, im done unless there are big changes, and i know that I am not the only one. Sorry state of affairs.
Indeed. I am seriously considering not bothering when I am in town next month........and I actually planned the London part of my trip to take in the game, but dragging my new granddaughter to a Broncos game could be classed as child cruelty.
Wife, son, daughter and my ticket will run to £69......or I can take my son to the London Aquarium with a trip on the eye thrown in.....Unless we find a new owner we are doomed to always be limited by the ability of our lord David to grasp what needs to be done
