Looking to get tickets early.... Can Anyone advise on if. I can rock up this week and buy them at the club or is it better to buy online and print them? 2,000+ is the figure sold so far...... Weather looking good.....
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
The BBC reported 3020 as the capacity when we moved in there. Hopefully they didn't just lift this figure from Wikipedia as that also cites 3020.
I've been in crowds of 3000 at Dulwich Hamlet FC - the ground they were evicted from last season - and suspect we'll have similar issues on Sunday to the ones they used to face. Specifically the lack of terracing will mean there are 2000+ present but there will be a lot of restricted views. The fact that about half of one side is effectively no go for spectators who want to be able to see the match due to the presence of the control tower, substitutes standing up to watch the game and so on, is likely to exacerbate the issue. There are some fairly obvious pinch points as well once the gates start to rise if people want to move around the ground. I think it goes without saying it would be worth arriving a bit before the traditional five minutes before kick off given the ground access arrangements.
All in all I'd say a bit cosy and potentially quite frustrating as a spectator. I'd prefer that to the 400 or so of us that were rattling about in the ground v Dewsbury mind.
CMG - I'm season ticket so am not totally au fait with individual match sales but am not aware of a sales facility at Ealing. I'd suggest buying at home and printing off if that facility exists. They scan a QR code on the way in these days so there should be no issues at all that way.

Thanks. I wonder if they've considered that maybe as many as 500 or so "lapsed" fans might be at this game....a temporary stand might be worth it if they can get a safety cert sorted in quick-time. Might have to check out the availability of corphospo.....rub shoulders with the glitterati

They coped when Leeds came down two years ago. Mind you the game was televised which probably prevented many from coming down from Yorkshire. I believe that on that day Trailfinders broke the record for bar takings. It is a shame Broncos did not benefit.

1850 was the gate that day...... We could be looking at nearly double that on Sunday and as for the bar takings..... I wasn't there. In 2016

I would do it online, all the club and players will be giving out flyers tomorrow afternoon and given the small number of staff I wouldn't risk it

London based ex-pat northerners always boosted gates when we played the likes of Leeds...... I expect a fair few of them Will be in attendance as will lapsed Broncos fans too..... 60/40 split in favour of the home side I reckon
