Because if whomever loses they are out of contention for the Qualifiers......
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

With Leigh in 9th, did he confuse the two clubs?
In fairness to Schofield (as an ex-Hull fan he was a magnificent player, if not such a great human being) many of us, indeed most RL fans thought Leigh were nailed on for first or second this year. Their form etc has been a real surprise. Similar with the Wolfpack, there seemed to be an assumption that they would tear up the league, yet I thought they looked pretty average against us? ....I think we are "tighter" in that we are more disciplined and less likely to "doze off" but we did put Fev to the sword at Ealing last year as well, beat Dewsbury at theirs by 14 and not just the 12 this year, beat the newly promoted Rochdale (see Barrow 2018) and defeated Bradford at Home (see Toronto 2018) so we had the same 8 points last year......Toulouse had 10 from their 2017 fixtures and only 8 this year......so maybe it's just that the league is becoming more competitive?

Not sure about the league. Leigh's poor start is a surprise, Toronto - I think the assumption of many that they would do the same in the Championship that they did in League 1 was a tad premature. Toulouse were strong all last season until injuries hit them at the back end and they collapsed, I think they will be there all season and unless injuries take there toll again a shoe-in for top 4. Fax look same as last year, will be difficult to beat at home. fev ditto, although they were disappointing against us and looked slow, although we may have been very good? Dewsbury will be hard to beat - otherwise, much of a muchness. Top four I think still looks like
Broncos Toulouse Toronto and then one from Leigh, Fev and Halifax
Not necessarily in that order, but Leigh will not finish top and may do well to get fourth!
I believe that the critical games for us this season will be against Toulouse. Remembering that we play them three times. Win all three and we will be very well placed.
