It would probably suit Sheffield to have this game postponed. If they planned to install the temporary stand this week the weather would have hindered the work. From what I see from the outside the club is in a mess and not playing the game would give them extra time to get sorted.
It may be that Sheffield need to play the game on Sunday to get some much needed cash into the club. It is the big. Return to Sheffield event and having yet to play a home fixture they may well be desperate for cash . Anyhow the pitch should be okay and we should feel quite at home on it.
I'd put Meadows on bench here, and if we are winning comfortably take Sammut off, and see how Api and Meadows Gel. I think we need to see how we perform without Sammut if he should get an injury, so being able to take him off last 20 mins if we are winning comfortably and see how squad copes would be something to be considered
I think that is a really good idea, I do worry about Sammut getting injured, he really is key for us. Also wonder if as previously mentioned the game gets postponed due to weather? Might suit Sheffield who are having a pretty awful run
If it is played I would expect us to win, but it probably wont be a walk in the park as conditions wont be great and some ex-Broncos in the squad!
Once we're both out of the cup then we need to get this rescheduled. We don't want a fixture pile up towards the end of the season....
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
Apparently brushing the snow off it could effect the rubber bobbly bits! Give em there due clearing terraces, entrances car parks etc is the other part of it.
