So...Oldham dealt with, but we need to tighten up and cut the mistakes out. Sheffield are going to be a real test of how our season will pan out and if we are relying on one bloke to drag us through the season, then we'll soon become easy to defend against. Can't see a win here. Sheffield by 10.

It did. If we hadn't switched off for a ten minute spell in the second half we'd have won by a much more comfortable margin.

But it was a fair bit short of Oldham best team. If Danny has been able to explain the off side rule to them & they invest in some glue they have a chance.

Can only play ( and beat) what's put in front of you.

Danny Ward has named his 21 man squad for this weekends Betfred Championship game with the Sheffield Eagles. Returning to the squad is Rhys Curran after injury and Jacob Jones following a suspension. Broncos Squad for Sheffield – Abbas Miski Chris Hankinson Will Lovell Jacob Jones Ed Chamberlain James Meadows Cory Aston Tuoyo Egodo Josh Hodson Greg Richards Romain Navarette Josh Walters Jordan Williams Matty Fozard Titus Gwaze Daniel Hindmarsh Sam Davis Gideon Boafo Ollie Leyland Rhys Curran Jarrod Sammut
Be interesting to see how the "Social Media" loving Broncos cover this game given their joining of the SM boycott this weekend. 1 weekend is hardly likely to change anything & if these sporting bodies really believe in this, then stay off it for good.
I think this is a really important game even though early in the season. If we can sort out our defence then I think we are capable of winning comfortably. If we do the rest of the season looks quite bright. If we fail to tighten the defence and it’s close or worse we lose then I worry about the rest of the season. I think we are playing the right kind of rugby trying to move the ball as fast as possible. But we are making too many mistakes and maybe overplaying it a bit.
So fingers crossed the defence is better and we win by a decent margin.
