People questioned Danny's appointment last year, saying David Hughes had taken the easy option giving him the job. The loss of Barthau and Ackers and the fact that U19 players were bought in as replacements, gave the doom merchants plenty of ammunition, but he has pushed it all to one side and got on and done a fine job. Let us all hope for more success at the weekend.
Give the bloke a chance see how he gets on. He was given the chance looks like he did ok. Nice to see him given recognition by the Rugby world. I bet he would happily give up the award for a good win sat and a crack at the MPG or KR lose and a possible 3 place

I was one of those people and I was wrong.... Well done Mr Ward...... Let's hope we can hang on to you and our squad no matter the weekends outcome
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

"I think that Jamie Langleys contribution to the team should be recognized. He and Danny make a really good team."
They do.
Jamie intimately knew the strengths, and weaknesses, of the academy players that have had to be promoted to plug the gaps left by the deserters. The change of Captain has also been instrumental.
The loss of Harrison and Cunningham could lead to us falling short, but it has been a really good season. The moving of the Salford and Halifax games has had me ditching expensive football tickets to be part of this seasons finale.

Actually I worried, but the performance against SLford was outstanding. Yes they were missed, but the replacements did a great job, they will see off Fax, all else depends on others!
