Seeing as everyone (& their lawyers) is jumping to David Hughes defence I was wondering at what point would you say enough is enough?

Or is it Broncos until they die?

Selco, answer our prayers!

David Hughes - The Gerald Ratner of Rugby League? Discuss. Or not as the case may be.

I don't see too many people defending Hughes on here. I see a lot of people supporting the club they love, just as I see fans of other clubs in various sports supporting the club supporting the club they love despite them having issues with whoever owns it.

Cowgirl, the only person who keeps mentioning dh is you. Can't you understand most of us want to watch rugby league, so Andover boy has a point.
Not seen any posters on here saying how wonderful he is, just a realisation at the moment it's what we have.

But it seems that some will literally put up with anything.

Surely there has to come a time to give up the ghost?

The club should probably just be folded into Skolars with Hughes as benefactor but no control over anything except the content of his drinks cabinet.

So what exactly are we putting up with? I get to watch rugby league 30 miles from home every other week rather than 300. Give up the ghost then you make yr choice, we will make ours.
Unless you are going to change it! Nope you can't, so enjoy yr free Sunday out and I will enjoy mine supporter the 17 blokes who pull the shirt on for broncos.

You don't get it do you? More likely you don't want to get it. You've been posting since 8am this morning, it's now 11 at night. And in that time you've made the same point over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Frankly none of us gives a toss what you think any more, we believe we get the point you're trying to make.
It appears that you do not wish to stop personal abuse, I've asked you clearly enough. You can't keep making defamatory comments about me, or the owner or anybody else.

I thought the Borg were supposed to assimilate & grow?

Not the other way round.

But lots of things are puzzling about Broncos.

Like someone saying they plan to dob you in & then getting all bent out of shape when you repeat it.

I'll probably continue to watch the team as I want to watch live rugby league and what is the team I have committed to for the last 20 years. I don't like the situation we are now in. I don't believe half of the things stated by the club however the alternative for me is essentially to give up on the sport. I'm not sure I'd start to invest my time in switching to another team, might attend the odd game but I would essentially be leaving the sport behind. Plenty of others have already left and I don't need another thread to tell me the reasons or the numbers. It's quite obvious why. Others will support the game across all levels, it probably makes them more engaged in the sport as a whole.

This might be the last year of the club or not. We might have a better season or not. The club might start to make steps in the right direction or not. More academy kids might make it as first team players or not.

Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.

Seeing as I was at a loose end I trekked up to Trailfinders today to see them play Bristol .

Mixed bag to report.

The journey as expected was a complete ballache even going the supposed TfL quick way via Perivale.

The ground is your typical lower level Union ground & will never be up to Super League standard.

Case in point being the toilet block shared with the players!

On the plus side I did like the pitch.

I've never seen such a fast Union game & it was like watching unlimited tackle rugby league at times.

Trailfinders started all guns blazing but tellingly Bristol with their better players pegged them back.

A trend I expect Broncos will follow.

Also given that I spotted a Maserati parked in a driveway I doubt getting mugged will be much of a problem.
