Not really that much of a surprise is it? I know he has won a lot with them, but this season is shocking for them, I hate to agree with schoey but they were shocking against Wigan which was the last straw he was clinging on tbh not sure how he lasted so long!
I would say 2016 was a worse year for Leeds on the pitch, yet they failed to sack him then. He follows it up with winning the Grand Final in 2017. Yes they are not playing well and have not won in seven, yet he is still the most successful coach in the Summer era. We are not privileged to the situation within the club. I understand he was no longer universally popular at Leeds My thought is that Gary Hetherington who I believe is the reason he kept his job after 2016. Lost the battle with the rest of the board to retain him, therefore he was fired. I suspect he will not be out of work for long.

Toronto Bound I'd guess.....but I suspect he'll not survive there long as he will have to rebuild a side for SL.....he failed with us spending the cap, so I suspect he'll fail there too.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
