My sister-in-law runs a guest house in Blackpool and reckons this is one of the busier weekends for her.....
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

Indeed.....but as a NI girl who married a Canadian, she is in the minority that know the event is on with visitors from Toronto staying.......

Channing struggled got to agree on that. But don’t think you can put it all on him, apart from Sammut it was pedestrian, one up Rugby very predictable, scrambling defence pretty good but deserved to lose that one. Dixon was very lucky not to get red card

Dixon should have got a red card from Ward when he was taken out to touch for the second time. Kids rugby that was I suppose thats why he's in a championship team
If Meadows can do one thing that is he can spread the ball, something Channing cant do. It was always going to be up the middle with Channing. His best pass is the switch back inside limiting our game further.
There are obvious question marks surrounding Meadows' being read for this level of rugby, and Pewhairaingi's injury history is always a concern, but playing Channing at stand off two weeks running is worrying. I'm not convinced he's good enough to play at centre, never mind at 6.
We also got an answer to the question about Fleming. Not good enough.
But 16 of the players out there looked flat and lethargic tbh. Even taking into account a couple of cracking tries from Toulouse, we were always second best. It looks and feels like the wheels are coming off.
