Well I wasn't expecting that announcement today. Watching the NRL last year he showed he was still a high quality prop. Delighted that he brings some real size to our pack. Glad that it shows ambition. I know he'll be 32 but players can go for longer these days. Very positive news.

Not where i would be spending money like that. We need a hooker and two centres by 2025. I'm assuming Hill will retire and he will replace him but we have 3 up and coming props (Wilson, Rushton and English) whereas in the backs we have very little.

To think two years ago we had two of the best centres in the league in Leutele and Wardle, and no we are relying on a 36 year old and a makeshift centre. A high profile capture for 2025 should have been in this area. More poor business imo

Was thinking about this signing the other day and where it might leave Fenton Rogers who's a very promising prop forward. Has he been part of the Giants squad much this season? We'd have him back at the Bulls in a heartbeat as he was arguably the best prop in the championship at the end of 2023.

Unfortunately Rogers doesn’t fit the Watson requirement - he’s under 30!! I’m not sure Burgess will make much if any difference given the way we are set up to play. Might be a bit more power in the middle but that’s all. I often wonder why we have an. Academy given the very few players who are given a chance

Looks as if Rogers has gone to London on loan.
