I see the provisional IMG ratings are out and some of them take a bit of believing .Giants are rated 9th out of 35 and i don't think anyone can grumble at that personally. It's next years that count anyway so its vital that we have a good season next year, If i understand it right field results are taken on the previous 3 years so as i see it we will be losing the year we finished high up the league and replacing it with next years result. I suppose we shall score ok on catchment area and on financial stability ( thanks to Mr Davy ) , Crowds are our worst problem so it's even more important to get things right on the field, The club seem to have tried just about everything to get people in without success, The one most important thing Fans want in my opinion is to see a winning team and the second is to have a team that plays entertaining football and is consistently challenging for honors. for the life of me i can not understand how we seem to get this so wrong almost all the time, We should have everything going for us , a good stadium a big area an academy and a owner who deserves some kind of honor for me. We are rated only one and a half points above Bradford and even closer to others i think so we need to move forward and the only place we can do that to any degree is on the field which will improve us on two counts if fans respond, I really hope Mr Watson has all this in mind as we prepare for next season, We have more new players again lets hope they can gell and produce the goods |

Yettoner wrote:Well said Jo,you're almost keeping the forum going single handedly. ha ha you have to be joking, there must have been at least 40 postings this year ( i think) . seriously mate it's just a reflection of the interest in the Giants generally, plus when there were a few more posters there was always some who were looking for confrontation if posts didn't agree with there particular opinion. It's a shame really cause i like to read other peoples opinions on things and if i don't agree with them well fair enough their opinions are as valid as mine, Iv'e always thought you can disagree with anyone about anything without things getting unpleasant, Didn't seem to work on here though so that coupled with disappointment season after season makes it all understandable. maybe this is the year things will at last change both on the field and on here. I just hope it happens while i'm still here to see it. I was at Odsel the last time Fartown were champions, A long long time ago and would you believe i was a Trinity fan in those days, but Fartown were the best side that day. |
