Will tell us where we are so far this season. The games against Wakefield and Cas came at exactly the right time for us, they have allowed us to get some momentum, but let's face it, they are the worst two sides in the league by some distance at the moment. The good thing is we started playing more during the Cas game, mainly due to their woeful line speed and fitness levels, they seemed to be blowing after 15 minutes.

Who should the halfback pairing be? Pryce and Russell looked like world beaters last night, but Pryce against Wakefield, who's line speed was much better, looked terrible when not given the acres of time and space he was yesterday. He needs to make better decisions under pressure. One thing that yesterday did highlight is that Fages really hasn't been making much impact this year. If connor is fit i would go with Russell and Connor in the halves with Pryce on the bench.

Jake Bibby impressed last night, and i actually thought Cudjoe looked really good on the wing, his jamming in was perfect and he took the right options in attack. Of course he will be succeptible against wingers with real pace but i would keep him there for now. Ashworth was also immense, and carried on his form from the reserves, would put him in and if Greenwood is injured give Rushton a shot.

Both Saints and Wigan lost this week and although they know it's a long season and you don't win anything at this stage they want to perform against sides they see as threats. Saints won't care at all that they lost to Leigh, they have always dipped against poorer teams but they won't want to lose to us that's for sure. Wigan's pack looks really weak, and i'm not sure about Peats, we handed him the CC final last year with our inability to go for the kill, they would have lost to most other sides that day, and started terribly, i don't think he's a great coach at all.

Yes, if we can get anywhere near that performance in the next 2 games I will be more than happy.
A much bigger ask it may be, but we did seem to be gelling together nicely last night and with Connor expected back any time, things are starting to look good.

I've just had to watch it again to reaffirm what a shambles Cas have become though. With big problems both on and off the field things are looking bleak for them, and I take no pleasure in saying that as I've always looked upon Cas as my second team.
I've got mixed feelings about Sam going to Wakey. On the one hand I'm glad he's getting more Super league experience, but this is often the thin end of the wedge and signals a player's departure - really hope not in this case.

So bring on the big guns...............and more of the same please!

Poor team? Really? You wouldn't want to play Leigh right now.

Ah yes, you have won two games, you are now mammoths of the superleague era! Poorer teams was not so much a reflection of your current squad as a summation of your standard in superleague in general which i don't think you can argue has been poor, no? The point i am making is that at this stage of the year Saints, Wigan and Leeds want to put a marker down against teams they think may have a chance of winning SL/CC and raise their games against these and often dip against other teams. Saints have regularly lost to the side finishing bottom and almost noone else during a season. Maybe you could look at the fact that i said that Wakefield and Cas are by far the worst two teams in the comp atm and that means i consider Leigh are much better than them!

Funny, when i wrote that post i thought the only person that would reply would be a leigh fan, a sad reflection on the participation of our own fans in these forums (or indeed any forums!)

Try reading your own posts mate, you are a first rate nark with a leigh blindfold on. Go back to complaining how you didn't get a write up for a match report! We had to put up for years of abuse after finishing bottom of superleague for 3 years , you've been a laughing stock every time you have been in superleague so far , so yea you are one of the poorer teams. Get used to it!

I'm not the one with a huge chip on my shoulder hunting around on other clubs boards for any mention of Leigh so i can get butthurt about it. I mean, we haven't played you recently, aren't going to be playing you anytime soon, and you have zero reason to be looking here, so who's the tool?

I've noticed that both Trout & Ikahihifo are back in the 21 man squad for Wigan, 2 top props who can make a big difference on the pitch.

I wondered where they had been lately? They both been injured?
