What a coup! Watson has signed a contract extension until 2026 One of- if not THE, best British coach in the business. This will certainly allow the giants to attract some excellent talent not just in the first team, but also any youngsters looking to sign up to scholars /academy should be also further attracted to the giants with this news. The work done to secure the amazing training facilities at Laund Hill, and now Watson for the next few years will help our team to grow. Fantastic news for the club! |

Excellent news. He's clearly an excellent manager and coach. I really hope more success is on the way soon. |

I get the impression Watson will want to keep the group we have together. So I can only see us announcing extensions to those OOC such as to golding, cogger, Leroy etc. If we can sign up McQueen (which sounds like it’s close) and persuade leutele to stay (which may be helped by his recent injury) then other than the bibby signing which sounds like it’s happening I can’t see us signing anyone else much of note. I suppose any other changes all depends on whether wardle wants a permanent move out or not. |

It us interesting though that Leeds Wigan saints are all going down the route of having speedy players and playing fast games of rugby. Whilst this can be hit or miss when up against a good team like the giants . I still feel that we lack an option to utilise some speed to disrupt teams . Defensively it always seems that we are only one good pass to a winger and we can get exposed particularly down Jerry and Leroy side |

Interesting- hope that’s in addition to McQueen and not instead of. I like Livett. I do worry that Watson can’t /won’t recruit outside what he already knows though- not sure where that leaves us going forward! I’m glad we haven’t been successful with Watkins. His days are long gone, and unlike Leroy hasn’t the affiliation to our club as that extra incentive. |
