The first in a long line of away games. The first three All very winnable. First up Hull KR, then Cas away, (is trueman going to hull early with the announcement Reynolds is likely to be leaving hill immediately) after that salford at magic, two tougher fixtures away at saints and away again at Catalan before we finally play a home game at the end of July. Our boys have all had a well earned rest and some have taken advantage to jet off for a few days - very well deserved! Yates back in the pack is a boost, long term injuries of hill and fages, not sure what’s happening with Seb- does anyone know? Hull KR have their talisman half back returned from injury, and will be looking to improve and avenge their loss and poor performance in the semi final. KR is difficult at KR in front of the boo boys as the crowd like to get on the back of the referee and do their best to influence the game, but we know how to grind out a win now, and just need to stay disciplined. Be interesting to see how Watson goes in the halves again, and also where /if wardle plays, back rowers pick themselves but who will miss out in the front row- it’s a very tough call. Unfortunately can’t make this one as need to be in Manchester on Sunday evening so really pleased this one’s on SKY!
another change in the halves. no AOB again but seb is back! the 21 man squad is pryce, jerry, wardle, leutele, golding, tui, levi, bruno, jones, mcqueen, yates, english, greenwood, trout, seb, wilson, leroy, russell, I senior, mason, hewitt, so likely we will go tui jerry wardle leutele senior pryce russell wilson levi greenwood jones mcqueen yates
seb, trout, english, golding
a very strong looking side. A shame I had to miss hewitt from the side as I really like the lad, I think he's shaping up to be an excellent player. And it says a lot about the strength in our pack when I cant even put our club captain on the bench! I've gone for wardle over leroy as I think pace will help us against the side KR will put out.
Well Leroy certainly showed why he’s been right to be getting the nod over wardle. And I bet wardle is kicking himself with leutele going off injured as it looks like king will get an opportunity to play in a top 3 side next week! A shaky start but yet again the boys showed a resilience to overcome a bit of adversity- believed in themselves and got themselves back into the game. KR had a bit of bad luck with injuries through the game but we were well on top in the middles. The boys just look to be enjoying themselves!
the future's bright the future's claret and gold
