Watson has confirmed interest in Jake.
A decent enough player and still young, but hope its not at the expense of either leutele or wardle.
Watson does seem to keep going back to the same players. Thats fine but hope hes not being too narrow minded.

I noticed in the interview he made a point of saying 'he was the best centre on the field'. Well i've watched all his highlights and 90%+ of the time he's on the wing. Looks to have great finishing / winger skills but i havent seen the deft pass, draw and pass etc skills that a centre requires. I think Watson is trying to sell the move to him as he can play centre here, but would be much happier with him coming as a winger, as imo neither senior is good enough for top level SL and Jerry isn't getting any younger.

I disagree about the seniors I think Innes has made big improvements this season - he’s clearly worked on his high ball, and I think there’s even more to come from him. He’s got some pace too which we’ve lacked.
Think the only thing that’s missing now is that belief and confidence to just back himself for the line as he can sometimes play it too safe and hesitate or cut inside rather than just go for the line.
If Innes had been alongside Leroy last night that would have been 6 points when he broke.

I agree and maybe i am being a bit harsh, he could be like Ollie Russell and be a slow burner that's getting better all the time. I have also noticed how confident he is in defence, and his pace is great. It's difficult to trust that a player will become the finished article, if they burst on the scene with natural skill and flair like Will Pryce it's easy to say a player will definitely make it, much harder when they don't have the wow factor but gradually improve. Well done to the staff for improving both him and Russell both of which could have been thrown to the championship and probably would have been in bygone days.

We have also apparently signed Harvey Livett for next season.

Really? Yet another ex salford player???
Decent enough as a player but as I say Watson seems to be very narrow minded in his player selection!!!!

He has only been at Salford last two seasons so has not actually been coached by Watson.
