Still no fages as he is still just within the 10 day requirement for failing his HIA, AOB also drops out for the same reason. A decent looking squad and wardle returns! Shame no English or Seb though which would be even better.
With all saints tries being scored that side I can see Leroy getting a rest this week- he’s certainly earned it!

I would hope to see
Tui,
Jerry
Wardle
Leutele
Senior
Cogger
Russell
Hill
Levi
Lawrence
Jones
McQueen
Yates

On the bench - Greenwood, Wilson, Goulding and probably ashworth was the marginally better out of ashworth/mason/hewitt against saints

I couldn’t make this one as my lad had a game - listened on the radio and was glad I didn’t go. We sounded awful, poor discipline, barely in wires half and when we did get close we let them off the hook by making an error.
Not a good Easter period for us again- just one point and we are slipping down the table.
Wakey on Thursday who are also going through a torrid patch- but have been a bit of a bogie side for us recently.
KR our semi final opponents in contrast seem in The ascendancy-
Watson and the boys need to turn things around quickly. A loss on Thursday could see us drop to 8th.

I listened on radio too, sounded horrible. I do worry about our Half back combinations, none of them inspire fear in the opposition, we have noone at all who takes the line on, and i honestly do not see what Cogger brings to us at all, for an overseas spot he is a real waste as we already have Russell who is learning his trade and Fages who do exactly the same job. Ideally we would have Tui in the halves and Pryce at fullback i guess, but that's a lot to ask of a young lad week in and week out(and of course he is banned for a long time yet).

Real test coming up, have to turn it around v wakefield and then take that form into Hull KR, who look favourites now for the semi. Let's hope easter hasn't finished our season, i know Watson was protecting players, but i really do think we got it wrong and should have gone all out v Saints with strongest side possible rather than tamely throwing our 100% home record away to save players for Warrington.. who we then got royally handed our a*** by.

I think not only have we to turn it around on Thursday and get the two points, but it has to be a massive performance to take into the semi. I am not at all confident of either of those things- away so won’t make this one- and kind of glad- hate losing to wakey!
Tbh I thought cogger was decent his first game back for us. And it’s a good job we had him otherwise we would have had no one! But fages with Russell on Thursday and beyond will be a better prospect. Pryce only has four games left to serve so will be available after the wigan game…… in time for the final…… but will not have played for some time, and I don’t think just chucking him back in at that stage is the right thing to do.
We never have a good Easter!

I was at the game on Saturday and it was just as bad to watch as it seems on the radio. We hardly got over the half way line in the first half. Warrington didnt have to do very much really just five drives and a kick by stand off Peter Matautia and then wait for us to give away a penalty or just cough up possession. When they realised that we didnt seem interested they moved the ball to their left edge and cut through our defense like a knife through butter. Cogger got a yellow card for a foul they scored straight after that and then when he came back on his first involvement was another yellow card and concede a eight point try. In the second half when we started to get some field position we couldn't pass to each other, constantly dropped the ball and seemed to want to bounce the ball off the head of the dummy runners. A big improvement is need for Thursday or another defeat looms Im afraid, I wont be going to Wakefield as I dont want to give that lot any of my money and its a place where we have had issues before so will be staying well clear. Watson said before the Wire game we need to have form and confidence going into the semi final, well Hull KR are unbeaten in six games, say no more.

Hill & Tui one match, Cogger 2, so will likely miss the Semi. On that note, has anyone received their Semi-Final tickets as yet?

well that's Thursday well and truly down the swanny with hill and tui missing. with Fages back cogger likely wouldn't be playing anyway. He should be sat out getting binned twice in 20 minutes!!!

senior to full back then.
russell and fages in the halves.
most of our best forwards out. English, Hill, Seb all out. Is trout injured HIA or not selected? I thought he was going well.
looks like

senior
jerry
leroy
leutele
wardle
russell
fages
greenwood
levi
bruno
jones
mcqueen
yates

wilson, mason, golding, and then if trout is injured then honestly i wouldnt want ashworth on again -sounds like he had a nightmare on saturday but we are running out of options - is kirby or stevens available??

Levi seemed to be really struggling on Saturday, every time there was a stop in the play the physio was on to look at him . His knee was heavily bandaged again, hope he is OK

if he's out as well we really are screwed. If that's the case i can see him being rested thursday and not risked before the semi. I :EH: sense another beating from wakey on the cards here
